Blogger makes it really simple for you to be blogging for money using Google Adsense. Google Adsense are advertisements by Google that are relevant to the contents of your website. Because Google places ads that are relevant to your contents…you don’t have to select the keywords or categories yourself. Google does that for you. If you are blogging about your favorite basketball team, you might see ads on the contents of your website of NBA tickets or basketball gears. If you are blogging about traveling, you might see ads of discounted airfares, hotels, cruises, or anything that are relevant to traveling. Watch the video and find out what bloggers are saying about blogging for money using Google Adsense.

Now here’s how you get paid. Google Adsense is a strictly pay-per-click based affiliate program. Pay-per-click is one of the most powerful ways to reach your targeted audience because it can put your advertisement in front of over 1 billion users online in a matter of minutes. There are 4 parties involve.

  1. Merchants: who signs up and submit their advertisement to Google.
  2. Google: who distribute the Merchant’s advertisement online.
  3. You: who places the advertisement on your website.
  4. Customers: who clicks on the advertisment.
When the customer clicks on the Merchant’s advertisement, depending on the size of the ad and how much the Merchant bid on your site, the Merchant pays Google for distributing the ad, and Google will pay you for placing the ad on your website. Simple as that.

Some use blogs as a diary to record their thoughts and feeling, some blogs about their favorite sports team or hobby and most blogs about building their business in several different ways.  Using blog as a business tool is one of the reasons why blogging has become popular in the recent years. Here are some of the differents ways you can generate income and build your business by using blogs.

  • Placing Ads: Many bloggers are out there trying to get as many visiters as they can by using a little bit of SEO here and there.  When they get a certain amount of visitors to their sites…they can place ads on their site using Google Adsense to generate advertising income.
  • Building Community:  When you post a article, a podcast, or video on your blog.  Your readers can write a comment whether they like it or not, share their thoughts and feelings about it, or even give you an idea.  When you reply to that comment, you are building a community by building a relationship with your readers.
  • Making Announcements:  Like my friend Jimmy…he sometimes blogs about getting the news out about new technologies or new products before anybody sees the ad on the billboard while driving on the freeway, seeing the ad in the newspaper while using the toilet, or a commercial while watching American Idol.
  • Adding affiliate ads:  You can sign up for affiliate programs from LinkShare, Commission Junction, or Clickbank and add it to your website to make some extra money when someone purchase a product.
  • Repeat visitors:  By posting good informations on you blogs…you encourage your readers to be loyal and come back to read your next post.
  • Asking for donation:  If you are blogging about a cause or a fundraiser, your readers can donate some money to you by using PayPal.
Blogging is a powerful tool if you want to build your business online.  The most exciting thing that really opened my eyes is that all the different ways you can make money online is all FREE.

The 3% class vs. The 97% class

Every year 100 college Grads are tracked from the age of 25 to 65 to see where they end up, here are the consistent results.

Out of 100 college graduate, 1% becomes wealthy. Wealthy to me is when you have 4 figure and 5 figure uncashed checks in the trunk of your car and you’re lazy to cash it. That’s wealthy. Most of us, when we see a quarter rolling on the floor, we immediately step on it and pick it up. 2% becomes financially independent. Financially independent means you could stop working today like most bloggers do and maintain the same level of lifestyle without any help from friends, family, or the government. That’s the 3% class. So what happened to the rest of the 97% class? 5% are still working. I have friends that graduated from major universities but are still working at Nordstrom or even Starbucks. 36% of them end up dead so we can’t really help them out. 56% is what I like to call the walking dead…dead broke.

What’s interesting about this statistic is that 74% of the 3% that are wealthy and financially independent own their own business.  When I was working at a mortgage company, the owner of the company was making more than $3 million a year and I thought to myself “I’m going to marry the boss’s daughter”. But then I realized that the boss doesn’t have a daughter…he had a son. So I said, “forget about it.” I realize I have to be my own boss.  Then my friend Jimmy told me about having your own website and being an affiliate marketer to make money online.  Robert Kiyosaki said, “The number one thing people can do to increase their wealth is to start up part time business.” Because the Internet is the 3rd gold rush…why not take advantage of it. You work from home, you set your own schedule, and you have the opportunity to make a tremendous amount of money.  Find out more about how to become an affiliate marketer and start making money online.
